Christian Federici

Baritone

Christian Federici's musical training began at the age of 6 with the piano and then the organ. After graduating in computer science at the University of Udine, he began studying opera singing with Sabina Arru and Federico Lepre.

He made his operatic debut as Conte d'Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Bonci in Cesena (directed by M. Cappelletti), under the baton of Claudio Desderi, with whom he perfected his lyrical and chamber repertoire at the Scuola di Musica in Fiesole (FI).

He also attended masterclasses by Matelda Cappelletti, Francesca Patanè, Karen Stone, Alessandro Svab, Lucia Mazzaria, Lorenzo Regazzo, Rolando Panerai and Patrizia Ciofi.

In 2018 he won the opera competitions of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale «Adriano Belli» in Spoleto and «Toti Dal Monte» in Treviso. Thanks to this he successfully performed as Conte d'Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro in the Theatres Comunale di Treviso, Pergolesi di Jesi and Comunale di Ferrara (S. Alapont/F. Bellotto), and recently at the Marseille Opera (M. Shanahan/V. Boussard). Christian Federici's repertoire also includes roles such as the title role in Don Giovanni and Belcore in L'Elisir d'Amore.

He sang F. Schubert's cycle of lieder Winterreise and G. Mahler's Kindertotenlieder, M. Charpentier's Te Deum, and W. A. Mozart's Krönungsmesse.

Future engagements include the debut at the Ravenna Festival in the role of Morales in Carmen, as well as Uberto in La Serva Padrona in Arezzo.
