Rory Green Flies High as Papageno in Kosky's Magic Flute

Rory Stars in Critically Acclaimed Komische Oper Berlin Production at Norwegian National Opera

Rory Green is currently captivating audiences as the beloved bird-catcher Papageno in W.A. Mozart's enchanting opera, Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), at the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo! Rory is starring in the Norwegian premiere of the internationally acclaimed, groundbreaking production from the Komische Oper Berlin, directed by Barrie Kosky and Suzanne Andrade.

This celebrated staging is a fusion of classic opera and silent film aesthetics. The role of Papageno is notably inspired by the iconic silent film comedian, Buster Keaton. We are delighted that Rory's dynamic stage presence and vibrant baritone are perfectly suited to the role, and he is interpreting this Keaton-inspired Papageno fantastically—bringing both the humor and the heart to the character.
